P3AGI at the COST Conference Personalised Medicine: Better Healthcare for the Future

Simeone dal Monego, researcher at CBM - Cluster in Biomedicine will participate in the upcoming COST Conference on Personalised Medicine entitled: “Better Healthcare for the Future - A Rational Approach Focusing on Bioinformatics, Medicinal Chemistry and Medicine”.
The conference will be held in Larnaca, Cyprus next 17 - 22 June 2012.
In this forum Dal Monego will present the poster “Combined high resolution and functional CT imaging in an asthma mouse model, utilizing synchrotron radiation”. The poster showcases the latest results developed within P3AGI  network –a project financed by the FP7 People Programme, Marie Curie Actions – Industry and Academia Pathways and Partnerships.
The underlying research is the result of the cooperation between CBM – Cluster in Biomedicine,  University Medical Center Göttingen, Elettra Synchrotron, SYRMEP and the University of Trieste. According to Dal Monego “for the first time a functional as well as high resolution microCT imaging approach in an inflammatory lung disease model has been established with is of great potential for clinical applications in the near future”.
